“Jamie Bond, the owner of Northstar Memory Navigation, and Annie Kyger are both fantastic people to work with and incredibly helpful. They are professional, experienced, and compassionate. I had to navigate a very difficult situation in finding appropriate care for my mother, and the two were invaluable in ultimately getting my mom to a place she is now comfortable and happy in.
They were quite patient with me, even when I had sudden changes of heart or struggled with the emotional and logistical vastness of the whole thing. Jamie was extremely articulate in explaining the reasoning behind her recommendations, which proved to be entirely correct even when we toured elsewhere. Northstar was very helpful in every step of the process. Both Jamie and Annie have also been very helpful in following up with the post-move care, and have provided me a lot of useful resources in dealing with the many surrounding tasks that come with memory care placement. They really went above and beyond in making this really difficult time in my life less overwhelming, and in helping our family find the right care for my mom.

“Recently, my brother was hospitalized with vascular dementia and various physical problems. I travelled out of state to be with him since I was the closest living relative. I had no idea how the medical system worked or what resources might be available. Luckily, the case manager put me in touch with Jamie at NorthStar. While I had nothing but questions, Jamie offered explanations, options, and solutions. She literally assembled a host of people and resources that were appropriate for his care.
I can’t begin to describe how helpful, caring, and, when necessary, brutally honest and objective she was in guiding me through this process. It was exactly what I needed. Also, she responded to calls and texts promptly, which was a great relief since the medical situation was changing day by day, sometimes hour by hour.
With Jamie’s help, we were able to give my brother the best quality of life possible under the circumstances until his passing. And even then, Jamie kept in touch and provided emotional support in the days after. The work she does is incredibly important and she does it compassionately and with great skill.
